THE NEW HOME OF DETROIT KUDO!

Detroit KUDO moves to Inner City Detroit! Special July and August Training

Thank you to everyone that has donated to the Samurai Project! Your help has allowed a dream to come true. September 1st we will open the home Dojo for Kudo Michigan USA – Detroit KUDO. The Samurai Project is a non-profit charity we organized to make this dojo special. Qualified Kids 17 and younger will train for free and young adults 18 to 26 will train for free in return for 3 hours per week of donated time to the Samurai Project.

Because the move has been delayed a month Beginning Tuesday July 17th we will be training Tuesday and Thursday at the Clinton River Heritage Park at the South West corner of Van Dyke and M-59. We will dedicate this training to Daido Juku Goshin Jutsu (street fighting tactics/self defense). Everyone, men and women 14 and up are welcome and the training is free to everyone.

Kudo in Detroit with the help of the Samurai Project will help the community and build some strong fighters for international competition.

SUMMER SIGN UP – SPECIAL !!!

2012 Kudo Daido Juku Seminar with Takashi Azuma – HUGE SUCCESS!!!

My sincere thank you to everyone that attended the event, helped to spread the word and to those who helped to organize and manage the seminar. I am truly grateful!

We had 41 total participants. Jukucho Azuma was very pleased at the number of attendees and their skill level. Personally I was delighted to see the different schools and styles represented. We had participants from kyokushin, JuJitsu, Judo, Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, MMA, traditional Karate and Aikido.

It was a lifetime experience learning from the Great Sensei Jukucho Takashi Azuma. Ito Sensei, Horikoshi Sensei and Kato Sensei were awesome and extremely helpful to everyone. Horikoshi Sensei and Kato Sensei spent a great deal of time with me helping me to understand my obligations and answered many question relative to Kudo.

Kudo, Michigan USA is now an Official International Branch of the Kudo International Federation. As Branch Chief it is my primary responsibility to protect the integrity and excellent reputation of Kudo Daido Juku and to spread Kudo through Training, Friendship and Cooperation. It’s my duty to assist anyone interested in establishing Kudo in their area as a Branch Dojo or a club working under an existing Branch. Please don’t hesitate to contact me. Currently there are two Branches in the US, Ito Sensei in L.A and us here in Michigan. I understand that there is another coming on board soon.

Thank’s to all!
